(Fargo, ND) -- Cass County's IT systems will be getting some assistance through a grant provided by a bipartisan bill passed in 2021.

A $170,000 grant from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is being used to purchase two firewalls, 36 months of subscription services, and various accessories. The grant is expected to cover 90%of the cost, with the state covering 5%, and the county covering the rest. The county is expected to replace the $36,000 cost through the state for current subscriptions beginning next year.
