(Fargo, ND) -- The Moorhead Police Department carried out its annual tradition of laying memorial wreaths at the headstones of its three fallen officers.
Representatives for the department laid the wreaths Monday, during National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week.
They honored Peter Poull, Jr., Alexander “Sandy” McClean, and Roy Larson.
A post on the department's Facebook page included the message that the memorial "is an important part of this week as we should never forget their ultimate sacrifice".
Officer Roy Larson’s nephew, Pastor Rick Larson, joined Chief Shannon Monroe, Deputy Chief Tory Jacobson, Lieutenant Mike Detloff, MPD Wellness Coordinator Dr. Aaron Suomala Folkerds, and Community Policing Coordinator Leann Wallin at Roy’s gravesite and delivered a special blessing honoring his uncle.
