Father and daughter pulled from burning Fargo apartment have died

FARGO -- A man and his daughter, who were pulled from a burning apartment in South Fargo on Friday, have died. Firefighters identify them as 26-year old Jose Zamarron Tellez and 3-year old SerenityRae Zamarron.  

Firefighters were called to 4355 10th Ave. S just after 3 p.m. for smoke in the second floor hallway of a three-story apartment building. Crews found an active fire in a second floor apartment. While searching the apartment, firefighters found the father and daughter and removed them. They were quickly transported to the hospital. SerenityRae died later that day, while her father died the following day. Their 
deaths are being investigated by the Cass County Coroner’s Office and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.  

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
