Suspect jumps from moving vehicle in morning police chase along I-94

(West Fargo, ND) -- Officers for the West Fargo Police Department were involved in a high speed chase this morning.  

The chase began when officers attempted to pull over a car for an equipment violation. The driver then headed southbound on Sheyenne Street to the I-94 interchange. An officer performed a PIT maneuver on the eastbound I-94 on-ramp. Authorities say the driver later jumped from the moving vehicle, with it coming to a stop in the 200 block of 7th Avenue West. Eventually officers arrested the driver and identified her as 31-year-old Samantha Hutchinson from Thief River Falls. She is facing charges including fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.

One passenger was briefly detained and a third person escaped on foot.
