MOORHEAD - One boy is dead and another teenager has been detained following a shooting in Moorhead Friday night. It happened just after 6 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th St. S. Police say an officer on patrol was flagged down and told that someone had been shot. The victim was found near some trees in the area. Police, Fire, and Sanford Ambulance attempted lifesaving measures but he died.
Police say a suspect has been identified and is being interviewed.
It's not known what led up to the shooting. The Minnesota BCA has been called in to assist with the investigation.
