Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski clarifies details on weekend downtown shooting

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski is clarifying the record about a shooting incident downtown early Saturday morning.

"It wasn't several people shot. It was two people shot who were in an altercation and one person is in custody. So it's not the melee that that news story made it out to seem," said Zibolski.

Zibolski says the incident happened in the 100 block of Roberts Alley.

The chief says two people were involved.

At least one was treated for an injury.

Zibolski says bar closing time continues to present challenges for public safety.

The chief says the department has an "increased presence" downtown.

Zibolski appeared on the Jay Thomas Show.
