Horace mayor on fastest growing North Dakota city: Grocery store "is the number one thing"

(Fargo, ND) -- Horace Mayor Kory Peterson was asked what's it like to be leading the fastest growing city in the state.

"We did an envision Horace thing here back in 2017-18, trying to get a poll of what people would like to see in town. You know, (a) grocery store is the number one thing. Then a clinic, pharmacy. I know a hardware store has been brought up and the other thing was a Dairy Queen," said Peterson.

A Dairy Queen has since opened in the city, and Sanford Health recently announced the opening of a clinic coming up in November.

Also, the new Headquarters Bar and Restaurant is expected to open this week.

Peterson appeared on The Flag's "What's on Your Mind".
