(Fargo, ND) -- Six North Dakota organizations are receiving Community Challenge grants totaling nearly $70 thousand from the American Association of Retired Persons.
"Since 2017 we've been really excited to fund project in local communities, large or small that really help people live and age in their community," said Janelle Moos, AARP's North Dakota Advocacy Director.
Moos told WDAY Radio the money for North Dakota organizations is part of a national campaign in which more than 300 organizations are receiving a total of $3.6 million.
She said the grants are aimed at addressing quality of life issues for senior citizens.
Communities receiving funds include Grand Forks, Munich, Forman, Milnor, and Glen Ullin.
