(Fargo, ND) -- A GoFundMe campaign for a Fargo police officer who was critically wounded in the shootout on 25th Street South was closing in Sunday evening on a fundraising goal of $45 thousand.

As of 6:20 Sunday night, the campaign to support Officer Andrew Dotas had raised $38,605 from a total of 519 donors.

The campaign was launched by Marissa Pietron, who describes herself as an "LEO (law enforcement officer) wife", and as a friend of Hannah Dotas, the wife of Officer Dotas.

The link for the campaign is posted below.

WDAY Radio Now was unable to find any similar GoFundMe campaign for Officer Tyler Hawes, who was also injured in the shooting, but we will post a link to that campaign if and when one is created.
