(Fargo, ND) -- A temporary memorial is in place by city officials for the officers either wounded or killed in a Friday afternoon shooting.

Fargo is lighting the city hall building and The Spirit of the Sandbagger sculpture will be lit in blues and law enforcement colors until Officer Jake Walliln is laid to rest, and Officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes are released from the hospital. City officials cite an immense support from people across the nation and the globe.

"The fabric of our community is personified in the actions, words of encouragement and acts of kindness consistently being offered, especially in the aftermath of July 14's tragic events. This unprecedented encouragement is being received from across the world and it is profoundly appreciated."
