Funeral scheduled for Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin, killed in line of duty

FARGO (WDAY) - Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin who was killed in the line of duty on Friday, July 14.

A funeral service will take place at Pequot Lakes High School at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 22 according to his obituary. A private service will be held graveside in Nisswa following the service.

Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski also told WDAY Radio Now that he expects a public memorial service will also be scheduled to take place in Fargo next week. 

In lieu of flowers, the public is asked to make donations to Soldier’s 6, a Minnesota nonprofit that provides honorably discharged veterans, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, correctional officers, and 911 dispatchers with specially trained K-9's.
