Fargo Police investigating altercation that turned physical, injuring one

(FARGO) -- Fargo Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon incident that turned physical, landing one person in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Fargo Police spokeswoman Katie Ettish, the Fargo Police Department responded to a report of a medical assist in the 700 block of 23rd Street South at just before 4 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived on scene, officers learned that two individuals, who were known to each other, were involved in an altercation. Police say the altercation turned physical in nature.

One victim sustained non-life threatening stab wounds, and was taken to a local health care facility for treatment of their injuries. The second individual left the scene before officers arrived.

Ettish says the investigation is ongoing, and there is no further information available.
