(Moorhead, MN) -- People living in Moorhead have raised concerns over rusty water flowing out of faucets in recent days. However, Moorhead Public Service says the discolored water is not a cause for concern.

According to city officials, the rusty water is a result of water mains that are currently being replaced. Jake Long of Moorhead Public Service says the problem can be remedied by running the cold water tap for several minutes until the water becomes clear. Long added that if the discoloration persists, Public Service field staff members will be sent to homes to help out.
