Semi driver cited for care required in crash that trapped pickup driver

(Embden, ND) -- A driver with non-life threatening injuries was extracted by firefighters after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says they were alerted to the crash by a Samaritan. When authorities arrived north of Embden, they found a pickup truck and a semi in a field and off the roadway. Through an investigation, authorities learned the truck was rear-ended by the semi. The truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
