Fargo Cass Public Health to host Back-to-School Immunization Clinics

(Fargo, ND) -- A local public health entity is reminding parents, guardians, and interested citizens about back-to-school vaccinations. 

Fargo Cass Public Health is hosting Back-to-School Immunization Clinics for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. The clinics are being held at the main FCPH building, 1240 25th Street South, Fargo, on Wednesday, August 23rd and Thursday, August 24th. Walk-in's are also welcome. 

“On-time immunizations are essential in protecting your child and family members from a number of serious diseases including measles, meningitis, and whooping cough," said Kris Hayes, the FCPH Immunization Coordinator, who says non-Cass County residents can also receive vaccinations at the clinics.

  • Chickenpox
  • Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP) 
  • Hepatitis B 
  • Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) 
  • Polio 

Prior to entering the 7th grade, children and teens are encouraged to be immunized against...

  • Bacterial Meningitis
  • Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis (Tdap)

Prior to entering 11th grade, health experts recommend an additional dose of the meningitis vaccine.
