(Fargo, ND) -- A local movie theater is investigating a claim of bedbugs in their building after a social media post garnered attention Monday morning.

The Facebook post, made by an anonymous poster in the "Insanity of Fargo/ Moorhead" group, claims to have received four bites from bedbugs at the Marcus Century Cinema location on 9th Avenue SW and 40th Street.

WDAY Radio reached out to Tristan Ross, General Manager for the Marcus Cinema location, and learned they have hired a pest control company to investigate the claim. Ross did not confirm or deny their presence, but did state the health and safety of their guests is their top priority.

Ross also confirmed he saw the Facebook post mentioning bedbugs at their location. He says his employees received a phone call from an anonymous woman who claimed to have received bites at the theater. The manager says the instance is the only complaint they received regarding bedbugs.

An investigation into the presence of bedbugs is ongoing. WDAY Radio is continuing to follow this story.
