MAPLETON, ND - Two people were hurt in a head-on crash in Cass County Tuesday afternoon. It happened in a construction zone on County Road 10, four miles east of Mapleton. The State Patrol says an SUV driven by William Callihan, 42 of Browning, Illinois, crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle driven by Annika Greany-Stanger, 28, of West Fargo. Both were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Troopers are still investigating the crash. Charges against Callihan are pending.
Construction workers were in the ditch working on a drilling project for the Red River Diversion at the time of the crash. None of them were hurt.
