(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo native has died during a Half Ironman competition in Finland.
The family of Cheryl Lucero tells KVRR they believe the 66-year-old died of cardiac arrest this week, but officials have not released a cause of death.
The World Triathlon Corporation says Lucero was recovered from the water during the swimming portion of the event but could not be resuscitated.
