Fargo Police investigating body discovery after 9-1-1 call

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police are investigating after a person was found dead on Friday.

Authorities say they were called to the area near 21st street and 6th avenue south from a 9-1-1 call who said someone was not responsive, and didn't know if they were alive. First responders arrived on-scene and learned the male was dead. The cause is still under investigation, but authorities do not suspect foul play, and believe there is no threat to the public.

The male's identity is expected to be released once next of kin is notified.
