(Fargo, ND) -- A longtime occupant of Fargo's skyline is now a pile of rubble after a scheduled implosion.

The City of Fargo demolished the Lashkowitz High Rise with more than 400-pounds of explosives early Saturday morning. Several hundred people were in attendance, watching the five decade old building crumble to the ground and turn to rubble. Several people on the ground near the implosion site cheered when the structure crumbled to the ground, after sending a plume of smoke into the air.
