(Fargo, ND) -- The woman injured in the deadly police officer involved shooting in Fargo on July 14th was given a $10,000 check yesterday.

Karlee Koswick received the money from organizers of the Back the Blue night. The fundraiser was organized by Big Erv's in Horace, Skooter's Plumbing in West Fargo and Midwest Tree & Maintenance in Pelican Rapids. The money was raised through door donations, T-shirt sales and generous donations from local businesses and residents. A $30,000 donation was given to the Leadership Care Fund to help the officer's involved and their families. Koswick has had two surgeries so far and she's still in a wheelchair. Koswick says she's blown away by the donations and she’s grateful for how they’ll help moving forward.

The organizers will be opening an online shop, for two weeks, through LongWeekend Sportswear out of Perham, MN for sales of the Back The Blue T-shirts. All additional proceeds will go to the Leadership Care Fund.
