Dilworth Police Chief resigns

(DILWORTH, MINN) -- The Dilworth Police Chief has resigned.

Dilworth Mayor Chad Olson confirmed Friday afternoon that Ty Sharpe had tendered his resignation to the City. The Dilworth City Council will take formal action on the resignation at its regular meeting.

"Chief Ty Sharpe has submitted his resignation notice to the City of Dilworth, effective September 21, 2023," an agenda packet information item stated.

Dilworth City Administrator Peyton Mastera tells WZFG/WDAY News that Hunter Rawson is the acting chief.

"I would anticipate us in the next few weeks determining how we want to handle the recruitment process," Mastera said in an e-mail to WZFG/WDAY News.
