(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo resident and 20-year veteran of the Frazee, Minnesota Fire Department is sharing his story of surviving a suicide attempt, after struggling with PTSD and drug abuse.

"I went down to my shop and tried to end my life with a revolver. The gun didn't go off, it misfired, and I couldn't believe what I did. I was looking around and I'm like, how did it get to this point," said Scott Geiselhart.

Geiselhart is talking about his experiences this month, which is Suicide Prevention Month.

He is speaking Sunday morning at 11:15 at Calvary Church on 45th Street South in Fargo.

Geiselhart will also speak at the Dakota Medical Foundation at 6:30 p.m. this coming Tuesday and Thursday.
