(Fargo, ND) -- Local law enforcement agencies are competing in a friendly competition for the 6th annual "Golden Drive Sock Drive", to collect warm socks for the upcoming winter months.

Several local agencies are competing, including the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Fargo Police and West Fargo Police Departments. Members of the public are also able to donate new socks by bringing the clothing items to their law enforcement agency of choice and leaving them in the sock donation box in the main lobbies of their headquarters.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office currently holds the traveling trophy for the most pairs of socks collected in 2022. The winner of the sock drive will be announced on December 15th.
