(West Fargo, ND) -- A suspect is in custody after authorities say they refused to comply with officer demands after a PIT maneuver and traffic stop in West Fargo.

The West Fargo Police Department says they arrived at the intersection of 9th Street West and 38th Avenue West on a report of someone striking a light-pole. Authorities say they found the vehicle in Rendezvous Park traveling at high speeds. The chase ended in the 4000 block of 9th Street West when a PIT maneuver was used on the vehicle.

Authorities say the vehicle's driver did not exit the vehicle when told to by police, and ignored commands from officers. Police say pepper balls "were deployed in the vehicle", while officers approached the vehicle with shields. Police say the suspect was still combative during this time.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Brandon Lee Thomas Lindsay from West Fargo, was arrested on multiple charges including DUI refusal, fleeing in a motor vehicle, preventing arrest, and hit and run on fixed property.

No injuries to emergency personel or the suspect are reported.
