(Fargo, ND) – No one was injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon on I-94 in Fargo.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 1:50 p.m. on I-94 eastbound at the 45th Street exit in Fargo.

According to a report, 54-year-old Jose Roman, of Miami, Florida, was in the left lane of eastbound I-94 between Veterans Boulevard and the 45th Street exit in a 2020 Volvo semi-truck. 36-year-old Aaron Halstad, of Moorhead, was operating a 2010 Ford Fusion at the same time in the right lane.

As Halstad began to pass Roman, he made a sudden lane change into the left lane prior to overtaking Roman. This caused Roman’s vehicle to strike the driver’s side of Halstad’s vehicle. Halstad’s vehicle entered the east ditch of I-94.

No injuries resulted from the crash.

Halstad was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, and was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and DUI refusal.

The crash remains under investigation.
