(Fargo, ND) – The Fargo Chick-fil-A is one of the chain’s first 300 stores to unveil a new way of picking up food.

It’s called Mobile Thru.

“It’s a new concept,” Kimberly Flamm, Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A West Acres, said. “Mobile is the future.”

Mobile Thru is a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru for guests who place their order ahead using the Chick-fil-A App. From the time a QR code is scanned to the time food is in the customer's hand, Flamm said the goal is three minutes.

Flamm said Chick-fil-A, as a whole, invested in a project to expand the drive thru, allowing for more options for those who visit the store.

"The goal is Mobile Thru and keep the drive thru always moving," she said.

She said with staffing and retention concerns in mind, Mobile Thru appeared to be a good option for the store.

Flamm said mobile orders account for approximately 30 percent of sales.
