(Fargo, ND) – Fargo’s Chick-Fil-A went through a remodel recently – causing the store to be closed for a period of four months.

Owner/Operator Kimberly Flamm said the closure of the store didn’t stop her employees from being involved in different things around the Fargo-Moorhead metro.

“My whole team was volunteering around the community,” she said. Team members worked with the New Life Center, Great Plains Food Bank, The Perry Center and the Homeward Animal Shelter.

Team members had a requirement each week – do one or two shifts of volunteering. The team also took part in leadership development.

“Everyone had a book that they were doing, so we stayed busy,” Flamm said. “We did a lot of development and growing together as a team.”

All employees remained paid during the time the store was closed.
