Hoeven: Tour group visiting Israel booked on flights home to United States

(Fargo, ND) – The entire tour group visiting Israel from parishes in the Red River Valley have been booked on flights home, according to Senator John Hoeven.

Early Wednesday afternoon, Hoeven announced that he had spoken with the church group’s tour director, Jane Alatrash, who confirmed the entire group is booked on flights home. The flights are scheduled to depart over the course of the next several days. Senator Hoeven has been working closely with US Department of State officials, and coordinating with the group’s leaders, including Father Phil Ackerman, to ensure the North Dakotans are brought home safely.

The Senator stepped in, along with North Dakota’s other Congressional delegation, after Hamas-led terrorist attacks hailed down on Israel.

“This is a welcome piece of good news, as we continue to see the results of Hamas’ terrible attacks against Israel,” Hoeven said. “We continue to pray for the victims, offer our unequivocal support to Israel and work to contain Iran’s effort to spread violence and hate.”
