Fargo fire crews put out garage fire

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo fire crews responded to a garage fire Monday afternoon just before 2:00.

It happened at a home in the 2300 block of 59th Avenue South.

Upon arrival, crews found flames on two sides of the garage exterior.

According to a city spokesperson, firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, which did not spread into the living area of the house.

Two people in the home at the time were able to safely evacuate the residence. 

No injuries are reported.

 The fire appears to have started outside the garage. 

The cause is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious. 

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
