(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo's current liquor license ordinance will remain in place.

A motion to revise the ordinance failed in a three-to-two vote during last night's meeting.

The proposal was designed to require businesses to have ID scanners, go through annual background checks and notify the city of any management changes.

Some commissioners believe the change should first go before the Liquor Control Board before any further decisions are made.
