Fargo pair arrested on child porn charges

(Fargo, ND) – Two Fargo residents were arrested last week on child pornography charges stemming from an investigation involving the social media platform Snapchat.

According to court documents, on November 22, Tracy and Cameron Thomas were both arrested and have now been charged for possession of certain materials prohibited and for promoting a sexual performance by a minor. The possession charge is a Class A Felony, while the promoting charge is a Class C Felony.

According to the incident report, on October 7, Snap Inc. reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user had uploaded one image file depicting child pornography to the company’s servers.

The investigation led them to the pair, with search warrants being submitted on November 21, leading to the execution of the warrants and the subsequent arrests on November 22.
