Fargo family searching for service dog

(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo family is searching for their missing service dog.

According to a social media post, Ruby, a reddish golden doodle, was last seen in the Osgood neighborhood on 66th Street South, just after 8 a.m. this morning. Jadie Larkin says there has been a possible sighting in Horace on the roundabout on 76th Avenue, near Horace Middle and High Schools.

Larkin says the family’s dog is a service animal. The animal has a chip embedded in it, along with an AirTag. The AirTag, however, only has a range of 35 feet from the device it is linked to.

She says the dog may have followed the river bank out away from their home, as it runs along the property, and a gate was left open.

The dog does not have a service vest on, but does have a red collar with the words “SERVICE DOG.”

Anyone who spots Ruby is asked to call Jason at 701-630-6686.
