One person hospitalized in Fargo after early-morning apartment fire

(Fargo, ND) -- One person is hospitalized after an apartment fire near I-29 in Fargo.

The Fargo Fire Department responded to the apartment at 1469 35th Street South in Fargo just after 1 a.m. this morning. Smoke was first reported in the building, then a small fire was found in the kitchen of a second floor apartment. An adult male was found inside the apartment and taken to a local medical facility in an unknown condition.

The fire was quickly extinguished, with damage estimates at around $35,000.
