Fire engulfs rural Kindred garage

(Kindred, ND) — Multiple fire departments, two ambulance services, and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire call this morning in rural Kindred late this morning.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to a residential structure fire at just after 11 a.m. today. The information relayed to first responders advised the homeowner’s detached garage was on fire, and everyone was evacuated from inside the structure.

In addition to Kindred Fire and the Sheriff’s Office, the Horace and Davenport Fire Departments, Kindred Ambulance and Sanford Ambulance also responded.

The structure was fully engulfed when fire personnel arrived on the scene.  As of 1 p.m., fire personnel have contained the fire to the detached and there are no reported injuries to first responders or the owners of the property. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined, and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, will continue to investigate the incident.  No further information is available at this time, and the Kindred Fire Department maintains control of the scene.
