(West Fargo, ND) -- A former West Fargo principal is trying to get evidence thrown out as he faces child sex crime charges.

David George's attorney filed a motion Wednesday morning asking a judge to decide whether materials found during a social media search and during interviews should be banned from court. The 39-year-old is accused of distributing explicit images of children through Instagram earlier this year and trying to inappropriately touch a minor. He has pleaded not guilty. He was promoted to principal of Independence Elementary this past summer.

George submitted his resignation the day of his arrest.
