Fergus Falls hospital received threat Monday deemed 'not credible'

(Fergus Falls, Minn.) -- Lake Region Healthcare, in Fergus Falls, was the recipient of a threat call at their Fergus Falls hospital earlier Monday.

"The incident command team worked with local law enforcement and other agencies to investigate and validate the legitimacy of the threat and followed internal protocols," hospital officials said in a statement. 

Lake Region was later notified by local authorities that there is no credibility to the threat and it is among a series of other similar hoax threats over the past several weeks.

"Internal precautionary measures were and continue to be followed," hospital officials said. "The situation will continue to be monitored. All staff and patients are presently safe.”
