(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo City Commission will meet in a special session next Tuesday regarding the Windbreak Saloon in South Fargo.
According to Fargo City Auditor Steve Sprague, the Commission will hear an appeal from the Windbreak. The appeal stems from a decision by the Fargo Liquor Control Board in late October regarding the violation of the overserving ordinance.
At the meeting, the Liquor Control Board voted 3-2 to hand down a $500 fine — something Windbreak attorney Tim O’Keefe pled with the board not to do.
“Our recommendation and request to this board is respectfully to ask that you not find the Windbreak in violation of the ordinance,” he said.
The special meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the City Commission chambers.
