(Fargo, ND) -- A local food pantry is celebrating after a $100,000 donation from a regional bank.

Several members of Gate City Bank staff spoke at the Dakota Medical Foundation Thursday morning to announce the donation. West Fargo Eats was given $100,000 by the bank in an effort to end hunger in the community.

"It's so exciting!" Said Pastor Joel Baranko with West Fargo Eats. "It's an investment in our vision to eliminate hunger in our community. We know with gifts like this, with partners like Gate City Bank, that we can strengthen our vision to make sure that people have food at home."

"Feeding the hungry is one of our main pillars, our main causes we are passionate about, " said Amanda Torok, the Senior Vice President of Culture at Gate City Bank. "It just felt right to help them in this initiative."

Torok also teased the possibility of another charity getting a large donation. Individuals can submit their votes for a nominee to win $50,000 by going to clicking here for more information and to nominate a charity.
