FARGO - The Fargo School Board has voted against giving themselves a pay raise. The board voted 6-2 to deny the proposal which would have raised their pay from $1,000 a month to $1,500 a month. Some residents spoke out against the proposal, criticizing its timing as the board is considering a major long-term facilities plan which could cost taxpayers $600 million.

The board hasn’t seen a pay increase since 2009.
