Fargo woman dies after late January apartment fire

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo woman has died following a fire that occurred at the end of January.

Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson says crews responded to 3161 32nd Street South on January 28th, finding 65-year-old Connie Frodge and transferring her to a nearby hospital. After additional care was needed, Frodge was taken to a Hennepin County hospital, where she later died.

Investigators determined the fire started within the bedroom of the apartment by improperly disposed smoking materials.
