(Fargo, ND) -- The Vice President of Global Innovation for Bobcat Company in West Fargo says one key technology trend is benefiting companies across the Upper Midwest.

"Technology development has never been more portable than what it is today. When I say that, that really means that the playing field is so much more level," said Joel Honeyman.

Joel Honeyman says that trend allows area companies to more effectively compete in the global marketplace.

He made the comments while appearing this morning at the annual Midwest Economic Outlook Summit in Fargo, hosted by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.

Honeyman and other business leaders praised North Dakota's business climate and pro-business policies.

They also said more work should be done to promote the state's business friendly environment.
