(Fargo, ND) -- An incumbent on the Fargo City Commission is announcing her intent to run for re-election

Arlette Preston is running for her third term on the Fargo City Commission. She is running on multiple platforms, but intents to focus on three specific areas; Adequate and Affordable Housing, Transparent and Responsive Government, and Long-term Planning.

“As a Fargo City Commissioner, I’ve fought for adequate and affordable housing, insisted on transparency and responsiveness in the governing of our city, and put sound financial practices in place to ensure prosperity and sustainable growth for the long term. I’m running again to lead these initiatives into their next stages of growth and prosperity for Fargo.”

If Preston were to win her re-election bid, it would be her third term in office, or her last chance to serve in city office. Preston faces off against at least three other new candidates and fellow Commission member John Strand, who is also running for re-election in 2024
