(Mapleton, ND) -- The trial of a man accused of causing a deadly crash near Mapleton last year has been canceled.
Investigators say 52-year-old semi-truck driver Yuhai Zhu stopped his semi on I-94 last March, causing another semi to crash into the back of his. The fiery wreck killed 72-year-old Randall Buxton, and Zhu was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and reckless endangerment, later pleading not guilty to both.
While an official reason for the cancelation of the trial hasn't been announced, Zhu reportedly signed a pre-trial diversion agreement last week.
