Fargo City Commissioner expresses concern about home "full of sex offenders and felons"

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo City Commissioner Dave Piepkorn says the city will aim to crack down on a rental home in the Longfellow neighborhood which Piepkorn said is "full of sex offenders and felons".

"They're renting to these people and it's devastating the neighbors. So it's non-stop, and so there's drug dealing. The worst part is, it's all bad, but then it's two blocks from Longfellow Elementary," said Piepkorn.

The home Piepkorn referred to is at 85 28th Avenue Northeast.

The commissioner says the city will aim to perform inspections on the home to check for possible violations of city ordinances.

The owner of the home has not responded to a request for comment from WDAY Radio Now.

Piepkorn made the comments while appearing on the Jay Thomas Show.
