(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo police officer Zach Robinson will soon be recognized as one of the top ten police officers in the United States.

He'll be receiving a top award from the National Association of Police Organizations. Robinson is credited with stopping a would-be mass shooting in Fargo last July when Mohamad Barakat opened fire on several police officers, killing Officer Jake Wallin and wounding two others, along with a civilian.

The awards ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on May 12th.
