(Cass County, ND) -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office, State Patrol and Fargo Police are teaming up for a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday.

Following the checkpoint, the State Patrol will conduct saturation patrols in the county. The efforts are part of the Highway Patrol's ongoing work to keep our roads safe and encourage all drivers to not get behind the wheel when impaired.

Troopers say there have been 18 fatal crashes on North Dakota roads this year, and nearly 30% of them involved alcohol.
