(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo School Board candidate Dawn Morgan is commenting on Evidence Based Grading.

It's a new approach to grading adopted for the district's students in grades 6 through 12.

"In a way it seems to me like it's watering it down, that you know there are some schools that have pass-fail. To me that kind of removes a lot of the motivation for students to actually really try to do a good job," said Morgan.

Morgan said she doesn't know much about Evidence Based Grading when asked about the topic during a candidate's forum hosted last night by WDAY Radio.

The approach eliminates the use of letter grades.

Instead, students are evaluated using numbers one through four.

Video of the entire debate is now posted on our Facebook page.
