LISTEN: Kendall Qualls’ conversation with The Flag’s Scott Hennen
MINNESOTA – Republican candidate for Minnesota Governor Kendall Qualls explained 15 areas he would focus on if elected and if the state’s House and Senate are run by Republicans.
It’s called the “Contract with Minnesota”.
“Focus on economics, focus on education, get the flag back. The flag was a socialist retakeover to erase our heritage and history,” Qualls said on “What’s On Your Mind?” on The Flag.
In 2023, the Legislature passed a bill establishing the State Emblems Redesign Commission to redesign the state’s flag and seal. There were 13 members including those involved with state boards, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon and three members of the public appointed by Governor Tim Walz.
Other things Qualls pledges to do include instituting single-issue bills in the Legislature by banning omnibus legislation, establishing two term limits for the governor and three term limits for members of the Minnesota House and Senate and enacting a parental bill of rights in schools.
Qualls says he’s ready to lead because established politicians haven’t changed enough policies for Minnesota to succeed.
