MNDOT pouring concrete on Hwys. 108 & 59 in Pelican Rapids

PELICAN RAPIDS, Minn. – Crews are continuing concrete work on the $22.8 million construction on Highways 108 and 59 in Pelican Rapids.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is working on sidewalks and boulevards on Highway 108 east of town. They plan to have paving crews start next week, weather permitting.

MNDOT will pour concrete for stairs on Highway 59 at the retaining wall north of Second Avenue North in the next few weeks.

Crews are also working on trail construction along Hwy. 108. There may be shoulder closures in the area.

Hwy. 59 is open to traffic, but Hwy 108 is closed east of the Hwy. 59 roundabout to 2nd 1/2 Street. Businesses are open in construction areas. There are in-town detours to get around road work.

MNDOT is holding weekly meetings on construction from 12:00 to 12:30 PM at the Pelican Rapids Public Library. Anyone with questions can call the project helpline at 218-517-9848 or email th59-108@landwehrconstruction.com. More information on the project from MNDOT can be found by clicking here.
